Indian movie industry is one of the huge industries. Everything here is big, the amount of money put in, the number of films made, the budgets, revenues. But when it comes to the world cinema, the recognitions that Indian films achieve ever year when compared to films of other countries is negligible. Be it the Oscars, golden globe or the Cannes very few Indian films get screened. Every year Indian films get nominated for Oscars but none makes it. But the movie made by a foreign director in India has won six Oscars. This shows that great stories are here but the creators are oblivious of it.
