To understand how astrology horoscopes came into existence, one must go back in times to the period when there was no formal education and people looked into the skies for answers towards events that were occurring on earth and there seemed to be no solutions. Ancient people were fascinated by celestial phenomena and slowly they started linking these occurrences to the events on earth. Slowly, certain constellations were observed along with some planets, and movements of certain stars. This began to be linked with the harvest season, or the change in seasons. Slowly this evolved into astrology and these celestial events were documented and the next logical step was to mark the positions of the stars and planets on a chart and that’s how astrology horoscopes came into light. A horoscope is a diagram, which marks the position of the stars, planets and constellations, based on which predictions are made. This faced a lot of criticism and the question often asked was “is there an actual science to astrology”?
Horoscopes are drawn based on mathematical calculations.
Ancient Greek astrology is credited with being the pioneers in astrology horoscopes. Each culture evolved their own system of astrology and astrology horoscopes based on their customs and their geographical location.
